Pundarika UK Summer Retreat (Online)
The Key Points of Trekchö
Wed 9th – Tues 15th August 2023
We are pleased to announce that Tsoknyi Rinpoche will offer the profound teachings of Dzogchen during our summer retreat. Rinpoche will teach from Mipham Rinpoche’s text The Key Points of Trekchö which emphasises settling the mind as it is and abiding in the natural state of awareness beyond conceptual thoughts. By allowing thoughts and appearances to arise without distraction, one experiences the genuine state of the dharmatā and the primordial nature is effortlessly revealed.
This is an open retreat, and we welcome all with a genuine interest in the extraordinary teachings of Dzogchen. Thus, there are no pre-requisites for attending the retreat other than a sincere desire to learn and practise Dzogchen.
We have created an online retreat schedule to offer an experience that mirrors the in-person retreat, ensuring you feel deeply connected to Rinpoche and his teachings. Tsoknyi Rinpoche’s daily teachings will be live-streamed. Our translator, Dharma teacher Gerardo Abboud, will provide daily Q&A sessions to help us clarify our understanding, which will also be live-streamed. We will be able to receive a limited number of questions for Rinpoche and Gerardo from online participants, which will be asked on your behalf. In addition, there will be daily meditation sessions with video guidance from Rinpoche to help you deepen your practice.
Please be advised that in accordance with Rinpoche’s wishes, the pointing out instructions will be exclusive to the in-person retreat and will NOT be live-streamed or recorded for online attendees. The live stream will temporarily pause when Rinpoche gives the pointing out instructions but will continue immediately afterwards.
Recognising that many participants will be attending from around the world, we will be recording all teaching and Q&A sessions. These recordings will be uploaded later each day and will be available for two weeks beyond the conclusion of the retreat.
The teachings will be in English only with translation provided by Gerardo Abboud.
