In a world that seems increasingly complex and out of control, it can feel that our inner worlds are also tumultuous and overly complex. It can be difficult to feel centered and clear—in our bodies, our minds, and in our spiritual practice. In response to this, Rinpoche has repeatedly taught the training slogan “simple inside, complex outside” as an encouragement to find the simple and authentic homes of spiritual practice within. With groundedness, essence love, and mind essence as our inner refuges, we can face the complexities of our relationships and our world with more ease, dignity, and clarity. Known for his warmth, humor, and the care he brings to his students’ questions, Rinpoche will again offer teachings in the Deepening Q&A format—a setting that often evokes his most spontaneous and engaging exchanges.
